Belles & Beaus Waxahachie Symphony Association

2018 – 2019 Belles & Beaus Class Forming

The Waxahachie Symphony Association (WSA)  is pleased to announce the formation of a new class of Belles & Beaus for the 2018 – 2019 Season.  Designed for Ellis County high school juniors and seniors, the Waxahachie Symphony Association’s Belles & Beaus program raises students’ awareness of the symphony and provides them with an education in music appreciation, life skills and etiquette.   Over the season, Belles and Beaus attend WSA concerts as well as area plays, musicals, band concerts, and other performances.

Belles and Beaus receive training by area experts in life skills seminars on Money Management, College Applications, Interviewing, Manners, Correspondence, and Proper Dress Attire.  Participants support the Symphony by ushering at concerts, representing them in the Waxahachie Holiday Parade, and performing community service.

At the conclusion of the season, Belles & Beaus are honored at a formal Gala, which includes dinner, dancing and their presentation.  Belles dress in a white formal and Beaus wear a tuxedo.  This is a beautiful, fun, and delightful evening.

The Belles and Beaus program begins in September and concludes the following May.  The group typically meets once a month for 1 – 2 hours.  Most seminars and volunteer opportunities are held on the weekend or in the evening.  Tuition for the program is $375.

Application for the 2018 - 2019 Season are available at waxahachiesymphony.org.
