Assistant Principals

Matt Queen, Assistant Principal
(A - Boozer)

My name is Matt Queen and I am entering my second year as an assistant principal for Waxahachie High School. I am entering my 12 th year overall in education, and my 6 th year as an administrator. After graduating Waxahachie High, I attended and played soccer at Central Christian College of Kansas, and East Texas Baptist University. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree from ETBU, I received my Masters in Education from Lamar University. I believe every student has the potential to learn and to be successful. No student is identical, nor will they learn the same, but each is here for the same reason, to be given an opportunity. Through creating
an encouraging atmosphere, a passion for success, and most importantly, positive relationships; we can develop a place for students to grow in success. I am married to my lovely wife Chelsea. Together we have two children, our son Miller, and daughter Caroline. We enjoy college football, baseball games, the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Nancy Moore, Assistant Principal
(Borders - Falcon)

Hello, I am Nancy Moore and I am excited to be an Assistant Principal here at Waxahachie High School. I will begin my 24 th year as an Educator. I have worked for public schools in West Texas area, South Texas area, and Central Texas area before coming to the Dallas area. Prior to joining the administrative team here at WHS, I was the head volleyball and assistant track coach at Life High School here in Waxahachie. A native of Brownfield, Texas, I graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Mathematics. I earned my Master’s Degree in Education (School Counseling) and Administration Certification at Lamar University. I am the wife of Joe Moore, a food service supervisor for Dallas ISD. I am a firm believer that, if you have knowledge pass it on to those who do not and that playing sports as a child not only builds character and confidence but also gives them a sense of accomplishment. Please feel free to contact me at nmoore@wisd.og.

I worked in various fields of construction for 13 years before realizing that I was meant to be an educator. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. We like to fish, play sports, and enjoy family time. I am truly blessed. I look forward to guiding and protecting the students of WHS. I believe every child has the ability to be great at something and my goal is to help them find out what that is.
