Cole Plunkett - English I Teacher

My name is Mr. Plunkett, and I will be teaching English I for the 2020-2021 academic school year. I am excited to take on the many challenges this year will bring and do whatever I can to both help students learn to their maximum potential and be a safe haven for them whenever needed. Due to the circumstances that quite literally plagued our nation and world, it is essential now more than ever that students receive the utmost individual attention they deserve.

A little bit about myself: I am brand-new to the Waxahachie area. I come from a small town in East Texas called Mabank, and that is where I did my K-12 education. I graduated from Texas State University with a B.A. in English and a Minor in Sociology. I love music, and I anticipate it being a common topic brought up in my class. Writing is my first love always, though reading's not far behind. I'm obsessed with the world--I hope I get to see all of it--and I hope to share a little more of it with my students. Oh, and I grew up working in the circus.

To get in touch with me, you may email me at either cplunkett@wisd.org or cplunkett@tch.wisd.org. To sign up for Remind 101 notifications, parents and students should text @mrcircus to 81010.
