Enroll or Withdraw
Enrollment and Withdrawal Procedures at WHS
Timeline
Students may enroll in or withdraw from WHS by visiting the Registrar’s Office between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, during the regular school year. For summer enrollment, specific times are designated, and a parent or legal guardian must be present to complete the registration process.

Please bring the following items to complete enrollment:
- Birth certificate
- Social Security card (optional)
- Immunization records or official exemptions
- Proof of residence within Waxahachie ISD boundaries
- utility bill or rent receipt in the parent or guardian’s name
- Records from previous school(s) attended
- Transcripts, End-of-Course scores, withdrawal grades, etc.
- Students enrolling from out of state or another country must submit their academic records within 10 days of officially enrolling.
- Any documentation regarding the custody of the student.
Withdraw
The parent or guardian who enrolled the student must be the one to withdraw the student. Parents and guardians may call ahead to initiate the following process:
- A withdrawal form must be completed.
- A parent or guardian must appear in person to sign the withdrawal form and indicate the reason for withdrawal and the new school the student will be attending.
- A principal and a counselor will also sign the form.
- The teacher of each class in which the student is enrolled will certify that the student has returned all books and paid all fines, fees, and other outstanding obligations owed in that class.
- The student will report to the library to obtain a slip certifying that no fines or books are owed to the library. Any fines or fees owed must be paid for the student to be withdrawn.
- The registrar will sign the form once the student has been cleared of all outstanding fines, books, and other fees.
- Once all signatures are obtained, the form will be released to the parent or guardian for use in enrolling the student in the next school.
- Students enrolling from out of state or another country must submit their academic records within 10 days of officially enrolling.
