Requirements for Parking

All students who bring vehicles to school are required to purchase parking permits. Permits are valid for the current academic year, and the first permit costs $25 per student.

To obtain a permit, students must present the following to the front office:

A completed permit application form
A copy of proof of insurance
The $25 fee

Payment can be made online or by check, payable to WISD. Checks must include the driver’s license number and contact phone numbers.

The sale or transfer of parking permits between students or to other vehicles is strictly prohibited. Permit tags must be affixed to the driver’s side window of the vehicle.

Vehicles parked on school property fall under the jurisdiction of the school. The school retains the authority to search any vehicle if reasonable cause exists, regardless of whether the student is present. Students are fully responsible for the security of their vehicles and their contents. It is the students' obligation to ensure their vehicles are locked and that keys are not entrusted to others. Students will be held accountable for the presence of any prohibited items or substances, such as alcohol, drugs, or weapons, found in their vehicles. Such violations will result in disciplinary actions.

The student parking lot is designated exclusively for parking and is not to be used for dropping off or picking up students.

Guidelines

Parking in fire lanes, handicapped spaces without a permit, loading zones, traffic lanes, or driveways is strictly prohibited.
Vehicles must be parked within designated spaces and should not be backed into spaces.
Students must park in a manner that does not block or damage other vehicles.
Students may only use the designated student parking lot or overflow areas. Unauthorized access to other WHS parking lots is prohibited.
Upon arriving on campus, students must park their vehicles, unload all occupants, and proceed directly into the building. Loitering in the parking areas is not permitted.

Vocational Students

Prohibited Activities

Loud radios, modified mufflers, unwarranted horn blowing, or other disruptive noises are not permitted. Smoking, tobacco use, and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited on campus, including in parking lots. Students must dispose of trash in designated litter barrels, as littering is not allowed. Violators of these rules may face disciplinary actions, including suspension of parking privileges.

Disciplinary Measures

Students leaving campus without written permission from the school will be subject to disciplinary measures, including potential loss of parking privileges. School authorities may revoke parking permits or suspend parking privileges for repeated violations. No refunds will be issued for revoked permits. Disciplinary procedures will be applied for all parking lot violations.
